The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, stated during his speech at the Vienna Economic Forum which is being held in Tirana, that it is important to build peace in this part of Europe in order for the people to live in better conditions.

“We will transform our disagreements into bridges of cooperation, this is our goal, as Kosovo,” said Mustafa. According to him, Kosovo will overcome its current challenges through cooperation with the other countries of the region.

Assessing that the special court was the issue “that has preoccupied the Security Council,” Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hashim Thaci, told the members of the Security Council that Kosovo will establish this institution on Tuesday “in order to cleanse our war and to isolate individual cases and negative actions.”

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said that his visit to Albania, where he met with top officials, was "good for the future of the two peoples and countries."

Differences that were expressed in talks are evident, he said, adding that "the two have bravely initiated a process that could only bring prosperity."

Thousands of people turned out in Kosovo's capital on Tuesday to pay their respects to eight ethnic Albanian militants killed earlier this month in neighboring Macedonia, whose government labeled them as terrorists.

Eight Macedonian policemen and 10 Albanian militants, nine of them from Kosovo, were killed in a day-long battle in the northern Macedonian town of Kumanovo on May 9. It was the country's most serious violence since Western diplomacy pulled it back from the brink of civil war in 2001.
