Kosovo institutions intensify work on SAA (Indeksonline)
The government of Kosovo in April 2015 issued a decision on the preparation of a National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis (NPAA), in accordance with the obligations arising from the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between Kosovo and the European Union. The government has set the NPAA as the main national strategic document for the implementation of the European agenda. The NPAA prepares Kosovo for implementation in the three main pillars of the EU: political criteria, economic criteria and European standards. The Ministry of European Integration has gathered 60 officials representing all relevant public institutions in a workshop to draft the NPAA. During the opening of the workshop, Deputy Minister of European Integration, Ramadan Ilazi, said, “Kosovo institutions will be able for the first time to draft a document that will be the basis of strategic orientation and the turning point on the road to full European integration." The NPAA is expected to be approved by the government and then be sent for approval to the Assembly by the end of this year.
