Hoti: Army is unstoppable, Kosovo is “made in the U.S.” (RTV21/Telegrafi)
Kosovo’s Deputy Minister for Culture, Rexhep Hoti, said in a debate on RTV21 on Thursday that the Kosovo Army will be formed next week and that the process is in line with the constitution and in cooperation with Kosovo’s international partners. Hoti said President Hashim Thaci in his recent address said that Kosovo’s Army has been projected together with the United States of America and NATO and that this is an unstoppable process. “The time of the army is now and the concern of our international partners – the U.S. and NATO – is understandable, because this is a very sensitive topic. In the strategic sense, Kosovo is much like Israel in Arabia; along Kosovo’s border is an army that is very dangerous and not only for Kosovo. In his presentations and meetings with EULEX, Quint ambassadors, and also in his meeting with the U.S. ambassador, the President [Thaci] explained in detail that this process will be coordinated with our international partners and that it will be in line with Kosovo’s constitution and laws. The formation of the army is an unstoppable process, Kosovo is ‘made in the U.S.’ … The President has made it clear that this project will never be in opposition with the United States of America or NATO,” Hoti said.
