Lower sentences for Badovci case (Kallxo.com)

Exactly one year and a day after they were sentenced for the first time by the Basic Court in Pristina, the trial panel comprised by judges Valbona Selimaj, Valon Kurtaj and Vesel Ismajli sentenced once again the accused for Badovci case. Besnik Latifi was sentenced to prison with four years and six months, Gazmend Haliti, Milazim Haxhiaj and Enis Latifi with three years and six months, while Fehmi Musa was sentenced with three years of prison. According to Kallxo.com journalist, the crime of the accused was re-qualified as inducement to commit terrorist acts. In July of the last year, Besnik Latifi was sentenced with 13 years of prison, Gazmend Haliti with 12, Milazim Haxhiaj with 10 years and three months, Fehmi Musa with four years and Enis Latifi with ten years of prison. The Supreme Court returned Badovci case for a retrial. The Supreme Court found essential violations   of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kosovo, on the decision of the Basic Court and approval of this decision by the Court of Appeals. According to the indictment, Besnik Latifi, Gazmend Haliti, Milazim Haxhiaj, Fehmi Musa and Enis Latifi went in July of the last year at Badovc Lake near Pristina with the intention of filming a propagandistic video, where they planned to read the oath to the leader of the terrorist organization “Islamic State” known as ISIS. According to the prosecution, the group intended to make the video public on internet in order to prove to the world extension of the “Islamic State” in Kosovo.
