Darmanovic: Demarcation of the border with Kosovo is a done deal (media)
Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Behxhet Pacolli, met today in Podgorica with his Montenegrin counterpart, Srdjan Darmanovic. They discussed demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Montenegro.
“We are aware that there is a signed agreement – this agreement is still present, but we are asking for your understanding. The process of the ratification of demarcation is impossible for now, when the right time comes, we will ratify it, because we have had some problems at the Assembly,” Pacolli said in front of the media.
However, Pacolli’s counterpart did not consider this request. He stressed that the matter of demarcation is a done deal. “I believe that Kosovo institutions will bring the decision for the ratification of the border agreement, based on the fact that the borders which existed in Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia were endorsed by our two commissions, one of these commissions even had international experts. As I stated earlier, demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro is a done deal,” Darmanovic said.
