Health Center in North Mitrovica lacks medicine (KoSSev)

The biggest problem of the Health Center in North Mitrovica is poor supply with drugs, caused by the strict control of the import of medicine and sanitary material at crossing Jarinje, between northern Kosovo and Serbia proper.

Deputy Director of the Health Center, Zlatan Elek, said that the biggest problem of that institution is procurement of drugs and explained that drugs, which are imported through Jarinje, are blocked and kept there due to custom taxes amounting from 10 to 27 per cent.

A company that is importing drugs and medical equipment in northern Kosovo has the dead line until 31 March to obtain Kosovo importing license, otherwise they will not be allowed to carry out with the work.
