The Ambassador of the United Kingdom  to Kosovo, Ruairi O’Connell, said during a round-table organized by Kosovo Rehabilitation Center for Torture Victims that the future government of Kosovo should establish a pension fund for the survivors of sexual abuse during the war.

He demanded for these pensions to be dignifying being that minor sums would have been discriminating for these victims. He said that the survivors and their children should not be blamed for what happened. These victims should not feel excluded from the society said O’Connell and added that the level of accountability toward these victims should increase.
