On inter-religious tolerance (Gazeta Express)
Publicist Arben Idrizi argues in an opinion piece that if ignored the demolition of the surrounding wall of the future Catholic cemetery in the village of Llapushnik, could lead to tragic incidents. Idrizi criticizes the Muslim residents of Llapushnik for not allowing their Catholic neighbors to build a cemetery. He adds, “the Muslim community, which is an absolute majority, is being intolerant and has almost openly expressed its readiness to carry out this intolerance and this is what makes the whole situation so dangerous”. Idrizi further argues that the center of hypocrisy is the Islamic Community of Kosovo and its leader Naim Ternava. “This institution which in public claims to be tolerant and in favor of coexistence between different religions, is in fact a burning fire of inter-religious hatred and fundamentalism,” he adds. Idrizi also warns that if the authorities do not react to the Llapushnik incident, it will be followed by more serious and even tragic incidents.
