The paper’s front-page editorial notes that the Berlin Summit has strengthened Kosovo’s hope for a clear European future. “However, there is a list of requirements that must be met on the long path toward the European Union. Reforms, rule of law, dialogue, good neighborly relations, respect for human rights, are all tasks that every country needs to fulfill before it can join the European family. For Kosovo, this summit is very important because it acknowledges our country’s contributions especially with regards to normalization of relations with Serbia … Kosovo has a specific path toward EU integration because of the five non-recognizing member states, but Germany can help overcome these hurdles. In order for this to happen, Kosovar politics must give a positive example in accelerating processes and implementing reforms.”
