International Day of the Missing Persons in Gracanica on August 30 (Kossev, KiM radio)
Coordinator of the Association of Families of the Killed and Missing Persons, Milorad Trifunovic confirmed to KIM radio that the International Day of the Missing Persons will be held at Gracanica on August 30 at 11:00.
Trifunovic said that he did not know why the representatives of this association were not invited last week to a regular session of the Organizing Committee for marking the August 30th at the Kosovo government building, and where Serbs and Serbia were repeatedly called upon, reports portal Kossev.
He did not want to comment in more detail on statements made by the president of the Association of "Cry of Mothers" from Djakovica, Nesrete Kumnova, which contained insults at the expense of the Serbs.
Asked about the progress on the fate of more than 1,600 people, Trifunovic said that that "some action" was ongoing in connection with the excavation, but that he personally has no information about it.
"We do not have any information about how far they came, what they did, what they discovered. I expect to get a statement from the Belgrade-Pristina Commission these days, so we will then see," Trifunovic pointed and added that the Association was not satisfied with the exhumation that took place in Djakovica, where the bodies of five people were found during the last search. Initially, in October last year, the remains of three persons were found at the same site.
"We do not yet have DNA evidence, nor a valid analysis of who these people are. We have the feeling that everything is getting prolonged and going in the wrong direction," Trifunovic said.
