Marko Jaksic: Vucic comes to tell fairy tales (Danas)
Announced visit of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo and Metohija would be a marketing, that should show to the Serbs it is better to live in “Greater Albania” than in Serbia, member of the Serb Fatherland Movement Marko Jaksic told Danas daily.
He would come to manipulate, spin and tell fairy tales, which in essence means that he is ready to renounce 16 percent of the state territory, breach the Constitution of Serbia and create “Greater Albania,” Jaksic added. Marko Jaksic over the weekend participated in a gathering of a group of Belgrade intellectuals, and he was also present at the founding session of the Alliance of Serbia, whose member the Fatherland Movement is.
Asked to comment as why the decision on Vucic’s rally was changed, and the rally would be organized in Mitrovica North instead of Zubin Potok as previously announced, Jaksic responded the reason could be that the Serbs realized he intends to divide Zubin Potok as well. There are stories that he would, together with Hashim Thaci expand the Istok municipality for around 50 kilometres and delineate Serbs from Serbs, in order to hand over to Albanians Gazivode lake and hydro-plant, something that Pristina could not live without. Jaksic opined Vucic is ready to do so in order to get at least 100 meters of Pancic peak (at Kopaonik Mountain) and tell citizens “you see we could end up without getting even one meter.”
Jaksic also said there is a working obligation imposed to all those working in the public institutions, including education, health care and administration and those who are on annual leave have to return and be in Mitrovica North on September 9.
Asked to comment that for the first time there is also a list of those who publicly said they would not come, Jaksic responded there are very few such people, mainly retired and unemployed persons. Everybody employed within the institutions of the Republic of Serbia would have to come, otherwise they would be dismissed. There are stories that Milan Radoicic, the Srpska Lista Deputy Chair is in charge of preparation, so let some of the municipal mayors south and north of the Ibar River dare not to come or that some of their staff members do not come either.
Jaksic also said he expects nothing good from the forthcoming round of negotiations between Vucic and Thaci, as every time Vucic goes to Brussels there is one Serbian institution less, and that is why they have asked him not to negotiate on their behalf, Danas daily reported.
