Exchange of territories is wrong idea (KIM Radio)
Rada Trajkovic and Nexhmedin Spahiu took part in the RTV Kim talk show Sporazum. During the show Spahiu said “it’s a high time for an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina to be reached, while Trajkovic opined that in her view “the solution is the continuation of negotiations, elections and a new team that would not offer delimitation as an option”.
Although the topics that would be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Presidents of Serbia and Kosovo are unknown, Nexhmedin Spahiu thinks that they would reach some sort of compromise. He said that for him, it was expected that they would talk about the delineation, but according to him, the “swap of territories” was a wrong idea.
Rada Trajkovic opined that Pristina institutions show much more pluralism in presenting their solutions for Kosovo, unlike the institutions and leaders in Belgrade.
“First of all, I refer to President Vucic and Head of the Office for KiM, who with their totalitarian stances do not allow the Serbian people to be familiar with the different options. But there are objections to what we all know, that in the institutions in Belgrade, which are not transparent and do not function transparently, especially the army and BIA, there is a very large number of people who are not ready to follow the President on the road he has outlined on the delineation of KiM and that’s what scares them, and then they have strong campaigns against Janjic, Trajkovic, Đilas, Vuk Jeremic,” Trajković told RTV Kim.
On the other hand, Spahiu does not expect too much from the negotiating team headed by Fatmir Limaj.
“I do not expect anything in particular, because these are actually the people who represent the present government of Kosovo, so it’s normal that to have those people who are here in that team. Do any of them have some experience in negotiating - I do not know. I don’t think so. Except in trade and business. None of them had previously dealt with such or similar jobs, but it remains to be seen,” Spahiu said, RTV KIM reported.
