Gojkovic, Stefanovic on Vucic’s visit to Kosovo, reaction of international community (B92, Prva TV)

Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic said she expects the EU to react to threats against President Aleksandar Vucic made before his announced visit to Kosovo, Serbian media reported. Gojkovic added, she hopes the EU would not urge the both sides to ease tensions, because Belgrade threatened no one this time. Meanwhile, Serbian Interior Minister, Nebojsa Stefanovic commenting on the decision of the President Vucic to stop communication with Albanian and international representatives active in Kosovo and related to his visit, told Prva TV such decision was made based on irresponsibility of all these institutions to ensure a decent visit. Stefanovic added the President Vucic had a meeting with a group of his closest associates, and a decision was made there so the President would go to Brussels, although it is clear that the agreement is not close. Commenting on announced Vucic’s visit to Kosovo, Stefanovic said there is a disappointment in the international community, which did nothing. “They reacted passively on arrogant Albanian behaviour. We are exposed to all sorts of pressure and all this makes talks difficult. We would discuss his visit to Kosovo, after President Vucic returns from Brussels,” Stefanovic said, adding “that in case he decides to go to Kosovo, no one would arrest him there. I guarantee that no one would arrest him,” he underlined, Serbian media reported.
