Dacic: Russian stance on Kosovo does not differ from Serbian stance (Tanjug)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency, Russian stance on Kosovo and Metohija is not contradictory to what Serbia is doing.

“Their position is same as ours, and it is preservation of territorial integrity of Serbia and non-recognition of Pristina’s unilateral acts. That stance is not contradicting to what we are doing,” Dacic said commenting on the statement of the Russian Ambassador in Belgrade, Alexander Chepurin who said Kosovo should return into the legal and the state field of Serbia.

Dacic underlined Kosovo can not join the UN, because Russia and China can use veto in the Security Council.

“Russia said it would support everything that Serbian side considers it is in its interest,” Dacic said, adding Serbia would continue diplomatic offensive and try to find a lasting solution.
