Serbian Orthodox Church Holy Assembly of Bishops session: Position on Kosovo remains unchanged (Blic, Radio kontakt plus)
Position of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) regarding Kosovo remains unchanged - neither partition, nor independence, Belgrade-based daily Blic reports today, adding the stance was reconfirmed during the first day of Holly Synod autumn session in Belgrade.
This meeting of the Holy Assembly of Bishops is the first one in the fall, after almost eight years. It begun with a report, or more specifically, with a presentation of Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije about the situation in the Eparchy or rather in Kosovo and Metohija, Blic further wrote. He also noted difficult situation which is a consequence of frequent attacks against remaining Serbs.
“Bishop has conveyed that the people south of the Ibar River are disturbed, because various stories have reached the enclaves about the future of the areas outside of Northern Kosovo”, Blic has learned in the Patriarchy.
Bishop Teodosije also spoke about relation of Srpska Lista towards the Church, and about the fact, as he said, that “SOC is not included in the processes concerning its life and property”.
The presentation of Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije was adopted and confirmed, that is, the Assembly of Bishops practically supported Bishop Teodosije, Blic reports.
