Letter to Serbian Orthodox Church Assembly: Kosovo and Metohija must not be alienated (Politika)
A group of Serbian intellectuals and Church dignitaries sent a letter to the Serbian Orthodox Church Holly Assembly today, saying that half a year after the SOC session on Kosovo, the situation has deteriorated, and there is a real danger of surrendering the province, Belgrade-based daily Politika writes today.
Signatories of the letter noted it is necessary that the Serbian Orthodox Church warns and publicly say that no one must dare sign anything, adding they believe this is the last chance to do something regarding that, and if this chance is missed everyone would bear the consequences “but in an empty area of irreparable and maybe the biggest historic defeat.”
They further explained “that highest state officials launched an idea on delineation between the Serbs and Albanians in the public, that would first enable formal recognition of fake state of Kosovo by Serbia, and then merging of this part of the Serbian territory to the “Great Albania.””
Signatories of the letter include Matija Beckovic, Ksenija Bozovic, Alek Vukadinovic, Archimandrite Gavrilo, Bozidar Delic, Marko Jaksic, Slavisa Ristic, Slobodan Samardzic, Kosta Cavoski and others.
