Kremlin revealed what Putin told Thaci (Sputnik, B92)
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a brief talk with the president of provisional institutions in Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, Sputnik portal reports referring to the statements of Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov said that Putin pointed out to Thaci Pristina should reach consensus with Belgrade, adding that Russia would support joint decision of Belgrade and Pristina.
“It was not a classic meeting. It was a talk on the margins of the event. Putin spoke with high number of participants to the events that were organized in Paris within the ceremony to mark 100 years since the end of the World War I. Thaci was one of them. They did shake hands and photographed together,” Peskov said, commenting on the reports about the meeting.
“Naturally, Putin underlined it is necessary to reach consensus with Serbia. It is crucial. And of course, he said we would support the agreement reached by the parties. It can not be different,” Peskov concluded.
