A car transporting journalist of Belgrade-based weekly Vreme and a journalist from Le Courrier des Balkans burned near the Jarinje administrative crossing, Vreme weekly stated on Saturday.

The fire erupted suddenly, and all four colleagues managed to safely leave the vehicle, which was destroyed – the statement reads.

The weekly Vreme team visited North Mitrovica to conduct an interview with the editor of the KoSSev portal, Tatjana Lazarevic. According to the weekly, the car was parked at the hotel parking lot the day before. Firefighters intervened and the police from Leposavic took statements. A preliminary investigation was also conducted.

The weekly Vreme magazine is expecting a quick, efficient, and thorough investigation of this case which would remove any doubts about the causes of the fire – the statement also read.
