Adoption of the draft statute on Trepca mining complex represents yet another in a series of legal violence that Pristina exerts over Serbs in Kosovo, Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) said today, Radio KIM reports.

SDP “condemns this and any other form of pressure,” adding “that this politically-legal pressure aims to create additional concerns among the citizens for their survival and existence as well as fear from the violence.”

SDP added “the Government of the Republic of Serbia must undertake all necessary measures and help Trepca-North board, given that more than 3000 workers and their families depend on it as well as prevent confiscation of Serbia’s state assets.”
