Gracanica Mayor: The meeting a confirmation of unity between state top and the Serbian List (RTS)
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic to meet today political representatives of Serbs in Kosovo.
Gracanica Mayor Srdjan Popovic told RTS that the meeting will confirm the unity between the state top and the Serbian List.
Before the session of the Serbian parliament on Kosovo scheduled for Monday, Vucic will speak with the political representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo in the Palace Serbia.
Gracanica Mayor Srdjan Popovic says that the meeting will confirm the unity between the state top and the Serbian List, adding it is a confirmation that they will continue to communicate and agree all future political moves with Vucic and the Serbian government, because "so we can resist unilateral measures coming from Pristina".
"We still have 100 percent tariffs, the war crimes court is next, and it is up to us to fight and work, and that everything we do, we work in agreement with our government," Popovic says.
RTS reports that the last incident in Gracanica was recorded in April. According to Popovic, the security situation is variable. Incidents happen overnight and everything changes, he said.
"What is on us is that we act proactively, I had meetings with KFOR and the police, we are trying to prevent - it all depends on the security structures, and it is up to us to insist that all perpetrators of crime are arrested," he said and added that their insistence sometimes has success.
We have somewhat of the understanding of security structures, but we are not happy with how it goes, Popovic says, and emphasizes that the presidents of municipalities will continue to work on it.
"We are concerned why the international community is silent and does not warn the security structures," the Gracanica municipality's president said.
The meeting of President Aleksandar Vucic with the Serb representatives will be held at 11 am with the presence of the Director of the Office of KiM Marko Djuric.
A report on Kosovo has arrived in the Serbian Parliament, which will be presented by the President of Serbia on Monday.
