Alliance for Serbia: Events in Kosovo result of failed Vucic’s policy (Danas)
Opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) said the latest events in Kosovo and Metohija are the result of President Aleksandar Vucic failed policy, adding it in many aspects resemble a joint direction of Haradinaj and Vucic that would bring good neither to Serbian nor Albanian people, Danas daily reports.
“While “his businessmen” applaud him loudly from the balcony of Republic of Serbia National Assembly, in the north of Kosovo Vucic and his coalition partners Ramush Haradinaj and Hashim Thaci push Kosovo police against the Serbian people,” SzS said in a press statement.
They also said ROSU unit that entered the north is under control of Pristina’s government, elected by Srpska Lista votes.
Alliance for Serbia together with its branch in Kosovo urged international community, in particular KFOR to protect the Serbs and prevent violence and possible escalation of conflict, Danas daily reported.
Danas also reported on the statement of Djordje Vukadinovic, Serbian MP from Movement for Salvation of Serbia who said that the intrusion of the Kosovo police special units was enabled by the Brussels agreement that current authorities, led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Aleksandar Vucic have signed.
Vukadinovic recalled before the Brussels agreement ROSU units could not go to the north, adding President Vucic blames his predecessors for the problems in Kosovo and points out to their mistakes and shortcomings, and while Milosevic, Kostunica, Tadic and Djindjic did make different mistakes, for all that time Kosovo special police was not able to cross the Ibar River.
“You can only complain now and call upon your colleagues from the international community, who in return tell you this is a legitimate police action against the crime,” Vukadinovic said, referring to President Vucic.
