Alliance for Serbia: We will not take part in fake Kosovo elections (KoSSev)

The opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) said today it will not take part “in the fake elections in Kosovo and Metohija, same as in the rest of Serbia,” KoSSev portal reports today.

The Alliance further said that in Kosovo “there were neither minimal conditions for free and fair elections, nor for equal presentation of the programe and ideas”.

SzS added “that blackmails, violence, threats and hunt by the SNS (Serbian Progressive Party) regime in Kosovo and Metohija serve only to prolong the keeping of our people in a position of a hostage of the two criminal groups”.

Leader of Peoples’ Party (NS) Vuk Jeremic said yesterday that all those who would like to “get rid” of Kosovo and Metohija should vote for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Danas daily reports.

“(…) Kosovo and Metohija can become an independent state only by a signature of the Serbian hand on the agreement that would enable Pristina’s membership in the UN. We must not allow Vucic to do it,” Jeremic said in Pancevo during the talks with citizens and members of the organizations and parties of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS).

Alliance for Serbia: Events in Kosovo result of failed Vucic’s policy (Danas)

Opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) said the latest events in Kosovo and Metohija are the result of President Aleksandar Vucic failed policy, adding it in many aspects resemble a joint direction of Haradinaj and Vucic that would bring good neither to Serbian nor Albanian people, Danas daily reports.

“While “his businessmen” applaud him loudly from the balcony of Republic of Serbia National Assembly, in the north of Kosovo Vucic and his coalition partners Ramush Haradinaj and Hashim Thaci push Kosovo police against the Serbian people,” SzS said in a press statement.

Alliance for Kosovo and Metohija established (KoSSev)

The Alliance for Kosovo and Metohija was established as a branch of the Serbian opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) at Gazimestan yesterday, one of the leaders of this alliance, Dragan Djilas confirmed for KoSSev.

He was leading a delegation from Belgrade to join Kosovo Serb opposition leaders and sympathizers in Gracanica. The original plan was to hold the founding assembly at the Cultural Center in Gracanica, but the location was subsequently changed due to organized protests of the Gracanica municipality and Serbian institutions’ employees.

Srpska Lista (SL) has issued a statement on Tuesday related to elections in the north and Serbian opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) and “1 out of 5 million” Movement, TV Most reports.

SL said the SzS and the Movement supported “Thaci’s and Veseli’s candidate Gonxhe Çaushi against the Serb candidate in the elections for the mayor of Mitrovica North.”

The Alliance for Serbia (SzS) states today that the possibility of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's participation in the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Assembly is an abuse of the Church by Vucic and the SPC Patriarch Irinej, adding that this is a play that is allegedly anesthetizing SPC before the decision on Kosovo.

IPSOS Research Sector Director Marko Uljarevic says that Aleksandar Vucic's rating has improved after the "Future of Serbia" rally in Belgrade on Friday.

Uljarevic told Prva TV that the rating of Serbian president and SNS leader has increased by six percent, adding that the protests of the opposition have led to the decline of the rating of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS).

Serb National Fatherland Movement from Kosovo and Metohija urged today President Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian authorities to return decision-making on the status of Kosovo “within the UN SC auspices,” and involve the Russian Federation in it “that for the last two decades in the UN safeguarded the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia within the UN Resolution 1244,” KoSSev portal reported.
