Resignation of the Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj would have major consequences on Serbia as it would postpone continuation of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue for at least 90 days, or perhaps even longer given that extraordinary parliamentary elections might take place in Kosovo, Belgrade-based daily Danas writes today. The daily added regular elections are to take place in Serbia at the beginning of next year.
Srpska Lista (SL) has issued a statement on Tuesday related to elections in the north and Serbian opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) and “1 out of 5 million” Movement, TV Most reports.
SL said the SzS and the Movement supported “Thaci’s and Veseli’s candidate Gonxhe Çaushi against the Serb candidate in the elections for the mayor of Mitrovica North.”
Serbian List states that today’s press release of Slavisa Ristic and Marko Jaksic has shown all of the hypocrisy, both their own and also the hypocrisy of Djilas's and Jeremic’s Alliance for Serbia, reports Zvecan based TV Most.
Marko Jaksic, lawyer, former councillor of the CI SDP - Oliver Ivanovic in North Mitrovica municipality and one of the organizers of the “#1 in 5 million protest” in this city confirmed to the Belgrade based daily Danas that the “citizens who participate in protests in Kosovo will come to Belgrade on April 13”.
The first “One of Five Million” protest was held on Saturday in Mitrovica North. Around one hundred people attended the protest. Their demands, as they say, are simple – they want to know who the perpetrators and instigators of the murder of Oliver Ivanovic are, and for everyone in Serbia to have the right to think freely, KoSSev portal reports.
Reacting on announced protest walk “One in Five Million” in Mitrovica North, on Saturday, municipal board of Srpska Lista said in a statement Serbian unity in Kosovo and Metohija will never be broken, regardless how much money would be paid by those who want the Serbs to vanish from Kosovo, RTS reports.
Srpska Lista noted “the protest would not gather more than twenty people, unless its sponsors bring more people from other parts of Serbia,” adding “they are maybe ready to stage incidents, in order to cover up a failed protest.”
After announcing on Twitter that the first "One in Five Million“ protest walk would be held on Saturday in Mitrovica North, the municipal assembly councillor from Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) Marko Jaksic received a threat, KoSSev portal reports.
Marko Jaksic, representative of the national movement of the Serbs "Fatherland", said in an interview with Belgrdae based daily Danas that the state pharmacies in Mitrovica North are not full, but he says that they were not full even before the sanctions. The shops and private pharmacies are full and adds that they would be even fuller if Belgrade allowed alternative ways of supplying goods, but official Belgrade does not allow it, so it can continue spreading the story of a humanitarian catastrophe.
Wife of assassinated leader of Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP), Oliver Ivanovic, Milena told RTV KIM she trusts President Vucic who made promise that a street named after Oliver would be the most beautiful in Mitrovica North.
“(…) I think the street named after Oliver would look as it should,” Milena Ivanovic said, adding that she “constantly talks” to the President Vucic about the murder of her husband.
"He (Marko Jaksic) attacked his country, President Vucic and Srpska Lista, and he praised those whom he had insulted many times while standing on a pulpit, such as the tragically murdered Oliver Ivanovic and Sava Janjic,“ Srpska Lista told TV Most in a reaction to the statements Marko Jaksic made earlier, KoSSev portal reported.
