Tadic: Essence of Kosovo solution more important than its timing (Beta, Blic, N1)
Former President of Serbia and Social Democratic Party leader Boris Tadis told Belgrade media that foreigners asked the opposition not to disturb the public because President Aleksandar Vucic promised them Kosovo, reported Serbian media.
Speaking for Belgrade based daily Blic, Tadic said that no one can tell when will the solution for Kosovo happen but that he finds it more important what kind of solution that will be.
The solution that Tadic is advocating includes a formation of “two entities in Kosovo” and “getting out of the frozen conflict.”
He explained that he would never support “a solution of those who came to power owing to their promises on servility regarding the Kosovo issue and those who find the preservation of personal interests more important than national interests.”
Removal of current authorities, Tadic stressed, would be a huge part of the solution to the Kosovo issue, otherwise, he added, there is no room for any solution that truly protects interests of Serbia and its citizens.
