Brnabic: Serbia ready to continue dialogue immediately (RTS)
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic expressed hope Pristina leaders would have enough courage and responsibility to change their decisions in order to continue the dialogue, RTS reports.
“We are literally ready every day to return to the negotiation table and continue the dialogue. This is the only way to have stability in Kosovo and Metohija, so people can continue living peacefully,” Brnabic told journalists.
She noted a survey was conducted in Kosovo and indicated that 91 percent of citizens living in that territory do not want frozen conflict, do not want status quo.
“They want the dialogue to continue and I hope the leaders in Pristina would listen to their citizens and have a political courage and responsibility to make decision that is the best not only for the Serbs and Albanians, but for the entire region”, Brnabic said.
She assessed the visit of the French President Emmanuel Macron to Serbia as very important for Serbia’s positioning.
“I think the visit went better than any of us could have expected. Great appreciation for all what the President Macron has said while in Serbia, for all the signals of support and maybe the strongest signal so far that nothing is over yet and the dialogue must continue,” Brnabic underlined.
