People’s movement from Kosovo ‘Fatherland’ calls for boycott of elections in Serbia and Kosovo (KIM radio, N1, Beta)
The Fatherland (Otazbina) People’s Movement of Kosovo Serbs says that it would boycott, as they say, “false elections” announced the beginning of 2020 and called the Kosovo Serbs and displaced persons not to turn out to vote.
The movement is a member of the Serbian opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS).
A press release said that “the worst irregularities and election fraud occur in Kosovo and not even the basic conditions for free and fair elections are in place,” and adds that “Aleksandar Vucic is seeking legitimacy for the final betrayal and division of Kosovo”.
The Movement says that will not accept the decisions taken by Vucic following the elections that the opposition is going to boycott.
It called the Kosovo Serbs to boycott the October 6 elections called by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci that the Movement consider to “run counter to the constitution of Serbia”.
