Palmer told me who would form Kosovo Govt. two months ago, says Serbian FM Dacic (Beta, N1)
Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Monday that the US representative to the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer told him two months ago that Washington expected Kosovo opposition politicians Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa would form a new government, the Belgrade based news agency Beta reports.
Dacic told reporters, after the 19th Economic Summit held in Metropol Hotel in Belgrade, that the Americans knew that was “a bit more complicated issue since they face Self-determination (led by Kurti), the party which advocates ‘Greater Albania’ for the first time.”
“One thing is what one says while opposition, and another when in power,” Dacic said, adding Serbia could not influence who Kosovo’s people would elect and that Belgrade should cooperate with everyone, regardless of whether one liked or not a particular party.
