Petrovic: We will request interpretation of the Election law (KiM Radio)

President of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS), Slobodan Petrovic said that after the Central Election Commission (CEC) publishes the official results, the Serbian List will request interpretation of the law related to the MPs’ mandates. As he stated, it remained unclear whether it is necessary to cross the threshold of 5 percent, in order to get additional mandates.

"We will appeal. We will request an interpretation of the election law, due to different interpretations."

However, Petrovic emphasizes that the Serbian List received a number of votes and that, according to unofficial results, it won more than 5 percent of the votes.

President of SLS said that the government in Belgrade for the first time gave support to the policy of a united Serb participation in Kosovo institutions, adding that meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic confirmed promise given during the campaign, on joint action in the interest of the Serbian community.

Petrovic announced new meeting with the Prime Minister Vucic, which will be held as soon CEC announce the final results.
