BRUSSELS - Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic will arrive in Brussels Tuesday for a farewell meeting with outgoing EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

Over the last two years, Ashton has facilitated the dialogue on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, where Dacic participated as prime minister in the previous Serbian government.

Ashton’s place at the helm of the EU’s external action will be taken over by Federica Mogherini, former Italian foreign minister.

Before leaving for Brussels, Dacic told reporters that besides with Ashton, he would also meet with newly appointed EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Mogherini and representatives of the European External Action Service to discuss continuation of successful cooperation.
