Dacic: Albanians and some in intl. community are lying to Vucic (B92, RTS)

Ivica Dacic says he, bearing in mind his experience, believes that a part of the international community and Albanians from Kosovo are lying to President Vucic, reports B92 portal, quoting Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

The First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister told RTS that the Albanians do not want compromise, but only recognition (of Kosovo). "There is no blackmail that can force Serbia to recognize an independent Kosovo," he said.

Implementation of the Brussels Agreement is one of the three areas for which Belgrade, as announced, will receive a positive assessment in the annual report of the European Commission, which should appear in the first half of October.  Due to mutual accusations of official Belgrade and Pristina, the fact that the elections on both sides swallowed nearly a year and a post-election political crisis in Kosovo and Metohija, the EC has lowered the criteria for the full implementation of the Brussels Agreement ( the constitutionality is assessed before the Constitutional Court of Serbia).

The legal basis for the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo will be established in the autumn, given that all the steps that lead to it will be carried out without a lot of political maneuvers. At first a new government in Pristina should be formed, so that its representatives, on a new round of dialogue in Brussels, could verify ZSO Statute. Then, the ZSO must be legally "covered" in the Kosovo parliament.  The whole calendar could easily be postponed by Brussels which is yet to select a successor of the High Representative, Catherine Ashton.
