Thaci gives assurances that Kosovo will continue dialogue (Koha)

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said today in Brussels that he assured the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Catherine Ashton, the European Union and all allies, that Kosovo will continue the process of dialogue. In a press conference following his meeting with Ashton, Thaci said, “Agreement with Serbia was not easy but was necessary”. He added, “Today, Serbs from the north are integrating into the society and institutions. Today, our peoples are looking to the future of Euro-Atlantic integration, which has not happened before.” “Two years ago, we met Prime Minister Dacic here in Brussels with great difficulties, whereas today, in a very normal way, Minister Dacic met Kosovo Foreign Minister Hoxhaj in Belgrade”, Thaci underlined. He added that this was not an easy thing to achieve but that it has been made possible through the strong support of the US and all EU member states. Thaci further thanked Ashton for her contribution to the achievement of the Brussels Agreement. “We jointly built very strong foundations for our future and the new role that the future Representative, Ms. Mogherini, will have will be easier in the new Balkans because there will no longer be hatred, hostility, but only understanding and looking to the future”, Thaci said.
