Starcevic: Kosovo without a UN seat (RTS)
Former ambassador and representative of Serbia in the United Nations, Fedor Starcevic, doesn’t expect Kosovo to get a UN seat, even if Serbia would be forced to state that it has no objections for Kosovo becoming a UN member.
“I don’t expect Kosovo to get a UN chair, even if Serbia would be forced to state that it has no objections for Kosovo becoming a UN member, hence I hope that it won’t happen. Even in that case I think that China and Russia would not vote for Kosovo in the UN from their own reasons,” Starcevic said.
Starcevic assessed that disagreement is something that prevails today in the UN. “Today we can see that there is no agreement. When there is no agreement we see that Security Council is either passive or some individual actions are taken, using military coalitions, as they call it frequently. Those actions never reached any positive results for the world and United Nations,” Starcevic said.
