Petrovic: Selection of Jasmina Zivkovic breach of agreement (KoSSev, RTK2)
The leader of the SLS, Slobodan Petrovic said that the selection of Jasmina Zivkovic as Vice President of the Assembly of Kosovo is breach of agreement reached within the Serbian list and that this function should belong to him.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the election of Jasmina Zivkovic as Vice President of the Assembly in front of the Serbian List, Petrovic said that Aleksandar Jablanovic manipulates the MPs and acts as the sole representative of the Serbian community. The leader of the SLS adds that Jablanovic did not do well in negotiations over the Serbian participation in government.
"The deal was that I will be vice-president of the parliament. Also, I had a guarantee that we will have four positions in the government, but when Mr Jablanovic took over to negotiate, it decreased to two. Although my position is that number of ministries is not important, than the quality and personal solutions; but solutions that I could see look even worse," Petrovic said.
Petrovic did not want to comment on ministerial candidates, because he says a final decision has not yet been made.
Although he does not want to make a "great drama," Petrovic said that he already discussed the issue with Marko Djuric and claims that also Belgrade had been disappointed by events.
President of the Serbian list, Aleksandar Jablanović said to the RTK2 that Petrovic had deceived the public when said that MPs of the Serbian List have been manipulated and that the position of Vice President of the Assembly had been promised to him.
"You had disinformation from Mr Petrovic that the MPs of the Serbian List had been manipulated at today's meeting of the Assembly of Kosovo and Metohija by me as the president of that list. Nobody has promised Mr Petrovic that he will be vice president of the assembly, as no one promised these people, when they were nominated, that they will be MPs. They become MPs by the will of the majority, and the will of the majority in today's session of the Serbian List caucus would determine who will be the vice-president of the Assembly on behalf of the Serbs," said Jablanovic.
