Dacic in Pristina without Serbian flag (Vecernje Novosti)
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic will go in March in Pristina, where he will participate in the continuation of the ministerial summit of the Western Balkans, whose first meeting was held in Belgrade, at the end of October.
Serbian authorities require status neutral format of the meeting i.e. holding of the meeting without state insignia, as it was the case at the conference in Belgrade in October.
"I'll go to Pristina, but the requirement is that meeting will be held under the so-called Gymnich format, without flags and only with the names of the participants. For this we will request the guarantees of Brussels, which is a mediator of the meeting. Serbia is committed to a dialogue with Pristina on all open issues, but all of these meetings must have a status neutral character, said Dacic.
An invitation to participate in the regional ministerial meeting will receive Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Macedonia. As a "special guest" will arrive European Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn.
Participation at the summit will not be the only opportunity that Dacic travel to Pristina. As a chairman of the OSCE he will visit the OSCE mission in Kosovo and Metohija.
