Kosovo opposition hindering normalization of relations (Beta)

The Chairperson of the Serbia’s parliament's Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, said today that intention of hindering the normalization of relations with Kosovo lays behind the Self-Determination’s protests in Pristina.

“What lays behind it is either Pristina’s or someone's else intention that process of normalization is significantly hindered and that Serbia doesn’t receive positive assessment for Chapter 35 (EU membership negotiations) with regard to normalization of relations,” Drecun said to journalist in the Serbian parliament’s building.

He went on to say that it is about inter-Albanian clash, caused primarily due to the ‘dissatisfaction of Ramush Haradinaj (the leader of the opposition Alliance for the Future of Kosovo) for not gaining the post of the Prime Minister”.

“Every opportunity will be used for causing new protests which will go to certain limits, but will not cross the ‘red line’ that would mean instigation of inter-ethnic clashes, whereas Self-Determination movement is most suitable for that,” said Drecun and added that Self-Determination is the best organization for causing unrest.
