Serbs are not returning to Kosovo institutions, while there is pressure (RTS, Blic)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said today that representatives of Serbs will not return into Kosovo institutions until resolution of the problem of political pressure on them.

- One of these days we will have a meeting between the Prime Minister and representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and talk about the political pressures on Serbs which continues - Djuric said, adding that the participation of Serbs in Kosovo institutions remain frozen until these issues are resolved.

Speaking on the implementation of the agreement on the judiciary and judges in the north of Kosovo, Djuric said that the most important thing that happened is that now there are Serbian judges and that the situation as in the case of Oliver Ivanovic will not repeat; that there is not a single Serb judge.

He added that the Serbs in those courts are entering on the basis of political agreement which is formulated in writing and that in this sense in the north is created environment and a system in which our people have a much greater influence on the judiciary.

- So far we have had tens of thousands of judgments where the rights of our people were thrown to the side - Djuric said.
