Patriotic Block: Serbian health system in Kosovo is in dramatic situation (KoSSev)
Surgical interventions were suspended at the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica because of the lack of anesthetics and other drugs which "speaks of the dramatic situation in which the Serbian society in Kosovo and Metohija is," announces Patriotic block from Kosovo and Metohija. "Clinical Hospital Centre in Gracanica ceased to function because of shortages of medicines, medical supplies and other medical needs, so that health workers in Gracanica only come to work, and virtually do nothing, since they have no means." The hospital in the village near Gnjilane, Pasjane, which the Serbian prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, opened "with great fanfare", to this day is not it working," was said from the Patriotic Block.
The reasons for the "general collapse" of the Serbian Health System in Kosovo are that as first, setting the "classic border" between Serbia and Kosovo by which the entry of medicines and other medical supplies necessary for medical care was disabled. Patriots claim that Kosovo Customs does not allow even the passage of humanitarian medical convoys. The second, more important reason is that Belgrade, under the Brussels Agreement, simply wants to transfer Serbian health care in Kosovo under the jurisdiction of Pristina. As evidence, testified the proposal that the Serbian liaison officer in Pristina, or better said, Ambassador of Serbia, Dejan Pavicevic, presented to the leaders of Serbian health institutions in Kosovo. He advised them to register under the law of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo and to accept the jurisdiction of that quasi-state," reads a statement released to the media.
