Djuric: Dialogue - way to improve relations in KiM (Tanjug)
The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue remains something that is for Serbia a way not only to resolve practical problems, but also improve relations between Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo, Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said on Saturday evening.
“It is a shame that, as I have that impression, we do not have sincere interlocutors on the other side, and that when talking to the media, political representatives of Albanians in Pristina, when it comes to the negotiations, are following the principle that a lie repeated thousand times becomes truth,” Djuric said in a meeting with the mayors of the Serb municipalities and Serb representatives in Kosovo's institutions.
“We are discussing the content of the First Agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, and the backbone of that agreement, the linchpin of its implementation is the establishment of the community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), and there is no reason for the public in Pristina and Albanian public in KiM to be fearful of the ZSO,” Djuric said.
The ZSO is not directed against anyone, as the ZSO is a factor of stability in KiM, the institution that will connect Serbs in KiM with Belgrade and Pristina, which could bring about a crucial breakthrough in the normalization of relations, Djuric underlined in the meeting in Mitrovica, which was open to the public.
