We are requesting from the government to freeze participation in the Brussels dialogue. Staging of a referendum is needed as soon as possible, where citizens would have their say about  continuation of the European integration, said leader of the Serbian People’s Party, Nenad Popović, to Novosti.

Popović further said that it has become clear the EU has set recognition of independent Kosovo as a precondition for continuation of European integration. “People should have a say about continuation of the EU path under condition of the recognition of independent Kosovo. No government has received mandate to lead Serbia toward the recognition of a fake state. It is important that we express ourselves clearly, and that Serbia would never under any conditions give up the ownership of the property in Kosovo and Metohija,” said Popović.
