Return of 36 displaced to Peć (Politika)
Six internally displaced families with 36 members yesterday returned from Montenegro to village Naklo in Peć/Pejë municipality in Kosovo. They returned voluntarily to Kosovo after spending 16 years in Montenegro, following the conflict 1999.
Every family will receive a house and package for returnees with basic food, utensils, tools and machines for self-employment. Houses have been built on parcel lots donated by the Peć/Pejë municipality following an agreement reached with the IOM and UNHCR, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor of Montenegro and the Ministry for Communities and Return of Kosovo. Construction of the houses and packages for returnees have been provided through European Union project PPK4, which is implemented by the IOM in Kosovo. Another 15 families are due to return to Kosovo in next thirty days.
