Dacic receives new head of UN mission in Kosovo (Tanjug)
Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, today received the new head of UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Zahir Tanin, to whom he conveyed expectation that mission will continue to work in full capacity in line with its mandate, and in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
The ministry informed that during their meeting they presented assessments of the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, UNMIK’s work and importance of further engagement of this mission in the fields of key importance for normal and dignified life of Serbs and members of other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo and Metohija.
Dacic stressed importance of this mission in implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels, and necessity for overcoming Pristina’s blockades of this process, reads the statement.
