Today, the closing arguments in defense of Oliver Ivanovic (KIM Radio)
In the Municipal Court in Mitrovica north solicitors of the CI SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic and another four Serbs will today give their closing arguments in the trial held before that Court. Previous closing speech was given by the prosecutor Romulo Mateus. The evidence procedure was completed last week, and within the trial, which began on December 18 last year and which is being waged against Ivanovic and four other Serbs, were interrogated 55 witnesses. Ivanovic is charged with the criminal offense of war crimes committed against civilians during 1999 and 2000.
The indictment includes also retired colonel of the Serbian Interior Ministry Dragoljub Delibasic, Ilija and Nebojsa Vujacic and Aleksandar Lazovic, who are charged with murder and attempted murder.
