Serbia requests a hearing regarding the accusations on organ trafficking (KiM radio)
The War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia sent to the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Nigeria requests for interview with Dr Philip Njemanze, a doctor who said that Hashim Thaci, together with Rochas Okorocha, traded the organs of kidnapped Serbs in Kosovo. The prosecution office sent request in accordance with provisions of the Law on International Legal Assistance.
The Prosecution, so far, interviewed 160 witnesses. Intensive cooperation regarding this case takes place with the EULEX Special Investigation Team, which, with the support of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia, heard more than 200 witnesses on the territory of Serbia. Special Investigation Team conducted an investigation in several countries about the KLA crimes in Kosovo, in the period from 1998 to 2000. The cases will have its epilogue before the Special Court for KLA crimes, recently formed in The Hague.
