AP KiM expects Vučić and public figures to support organization of Serbian elections in Kosovo (KoSSev)

It is not sufficient to say that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo, instead it should be shown to the world that Kosovo is Serbia, through action. Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (AP KiM), comprised of opposition and extra parliamentarian parties, yesterday communicated that it expects from the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić to ‘show full political courage’ and to organize elections in Kosovo and Metohija, whereas public figures in Serbia are expected to support the request of Kosovo Serbs for Serbian Assembly to organize local elections in Kosovo.

AP KiM extended its support to the petition launched by the Patriotic Block (Democratic Party of Serbia and Dveri Movement), requesting the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to organize local elections on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, as an inalienable part of the Republic of Serbia. At the same time the assembly of AP KiM requested the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to organize parliamentary elections in Kosovo and Metohija instead of having the OSCE facilitating elections.

“By organizing local and parliamentary elections in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia is showing that the southern Serbian province is part of this country, which is guaranteed by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244,” reads a communique of the AP KiM.
