Djuric: Serbs in Kosovo are on their land (B92)
Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric visited the Serbian villages and families in the municipality of Lipljan, in central Kosovo. On this occasion he said that the Serbs in Kosovo did not achieve their collective rights, adding that the state of Serbia will help them in it, to the maximum. In Gusterica village, Djuric said that Serbs in Kosovo are not and will not be a simple passive citizens, but free people who are living on their own land.
Djuric stated this in response to the request of Kosovo opposition parties not to allow forming of one additional municipality with Serbian majority in Kosovo-Priluzje. The fight for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo, he added, must be conducted on two tracks of which one is a political struggle for greater political rights while the other is fight for good quality of life and survival of each of our people, cities and villages. Two Serbian ministers in the Government of Kosovo Ljubomir Maric and Dalibor Jevtic, as well Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic, joined Djuric during this visit.
