Jevtic: Mutual trust is the most important for the normalization of relations (KIM radio)
Given that the Community/Association of Serb municipalities has not been established, Serbs did not get what they expected after the signing of the Agreement on Normalization of Relations in Brussels, estimated Dalibor Jevtic.
Minister for Communities and Returns says that neither Belgrade nor Pristina got what they wanted by the signing of the Brussels agreement.
"What the Serbs were supposed to get, which is primarily the establishment of the Community of Serbian municipalities, was not implemented. Based on this, we cannot talk today about the fact that Serbs got what was most important when it comes to the agreement from Brussels. On the other side, certainly some problems were solved, some doubts have been resolved. I think, as regards to the dialogue, the biggest problem is implementation now, which after all refers to the question of mutual trust between the Albanian and Serbian people," said Jevtic to KIM radio.
Jevtic believes that building trust is the most important factor for a better life of Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo. He adds that the trust will not be built if the laws, relating to the rights of non-majority people in Kosovo, are not respected.
"I expect from the Kosovo institutions to do more on the respect of the rights, the rule of law, the efficiency of the courts, the police to be more effective in preventing all those incidents that occur primarily in Metohija, but also in other parts of Kosovo," said Jevtic.
