Construction of the Sunny Valley kicks off today (TV Most)

The Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, Bishop of Raška-Prizren and chairperson of the provisional body of Zvečan/Zveçan Municipality Ivan Todosijević today will lay a cornerstone for the construction of a returnee settlement ‘Sunny Valley’ in that town.

Returnee settlement ‘Sunny Valley’ has been designed within a completely new concept of massive return to Kosovo, which has taken into account the need of internally displaced persons to return to safe settlements where they will have existential certainty and all what they need for decent life standard. There will be between 225-300 housing units constructed in the settlement, along with some public premises.

‘Sunny Hill’ settlement will be located underneath the medieval castle, between Mitrovica North and Zvečan/Zveçan. Agreement on the construction of the settlement was signed on 12 July last year by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Eparchy of Raška-Prizren of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Zvečan/Zveçan Municipality. The project has been officially presented in Belgrade on 31 May.
