Kozarev: Pristina should support the project ‘Sunny Valley’ (RTK2)
Deputy Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dušan Kozarev, said that it would be good that Albanians support the project ‘Sunny Valley’, which they currently see as a problem.
Kozarev said to RTK2 that the goal of the ‘Sunny Valley’ would be sustainable return to Kosovo and assessed that return of displaced and internally displaced from Kosovo in last 17 years almost didn’t exist. He added that this project would change the complete approach to the return process.
On the other side, Kosovo Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning communicated that ‘Sunny Valley’ project can’t be constructed without the signing of an inter-state agreement, as well as if its construction is not in line with the Kosovo laws and urban plans adopted by municipalities and approved by this ministry.
Reflecting on this statement, Kozarev assessed that Pristina always reacts negatively on noble and good idea from Belgrade, and added that political representatives of Kosovo Serbs will help implementation of this project in the constructive manner. He stressed that all administrative requirements will be respected for the construction of the ‘Sunny Valley’ settlement near Zvečan/Zveçan in northern Kosovo.
The head of the Serbian List caucus in the Kosovo parliament and president of this list, Slavko Simić, opines that Pristina will not block the implementation of this project, and added that Serbs and Albanians should reject all political prejudices in this case, for the sake of better future.
