Dačić: The speed of opening chapters depends of the Chapter 35 (Dnevnik)
Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić says that Serbia is committed to peace and stability in the region and stability in BiH, and adds that everybody should start searching for common interest.
Stating that Serbia did not support the referendum in the Republika Srpska, at the meeting of parliamentary committee for foreign affairs, Dačić said that Serbia, as a country which is a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement, will respond to any threat while being able to protect itself and its interests.
Dačić says the European Commission's progress report is expected on November 9, and that the speed of opening chapters depends of the progress made in respect of Chapter 35.
The Minister says that it is not realistic for Serbia to be in the Eurasian integration because it is not geographically possible and that the interest of Serbia is not to inflict damage to relations with Russia on its European path.
Speaking of visits of foreign officials, Dačić says that the date of arrival of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has not yet been determined and that Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain Boris Johnson should visit Serbia by the end of the year.
Dačić announced that in December in Belgrade would be held the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), with the participation of more than ten foreign ministers, including Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
