Fallon: Britain sends 30 soldiers to Kosovo (Blic)
United Kingdom next year will send 30 more soldiers to Kosovo, said today the British defence minister Michael Fallon.
- There are significant challenges to security and stability in the Western Balkans - said Fallon.
British soldiers will join the NATO forces in Kosovo early next year, in a period of 12 months.
They will be stationed in the KFOR headquarters in Pristina, and their task will be to provide support in the intelligence and in operations of reconnaissance and surveillance.
- NATO remains the cornerstone of our defence. By continuing defence of security in Europe, the British security is reinforced at home - said Fallon.
KFOR currently has about 4,200 soldiers from 30 countries.
